Former vocalist of pop rock band arrested for drug abuse

A former vocalist of a pop rock outfit was arrested in Jalan Jelatek after his urine sample had tested positive for amphetamine.
Ampang Jaya District chief police, ACP Khairuldin Saad said, the preliminary urine test conducted on the singer after he was detained earlier today.
It was learnt that two women were also with him during the arrest. The singer has been detained for three-day remand starting today.
The case is being investigated under Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Acts 1952.
The suspect had recently won third place in a reality singing contest.
