Fortuner joins list of facelifted Toyotas

Just to refresh your memories, the Toyota Fortuner comes in the following variants:

• Fortuner 2.7V Petrol TRD Sportivo
• Fortuner 2.7V Petrol
• Fortuner 2.5G Diesel TRD Sportivo
• Fortuner 2.7G Diesel

So what will the Fortuner be sporting after surgery?

• New headlamps and rear combination lamps that are redesigned to include a new dark bezel to give the car a sportier look. Also the outer lens covering the projector headlights have been updated as well to protrude more noticeably to change to image of the Fortuner.
• You now get Daytime Running Lights are now integrated at the corners of the front bumpers. These DRLs are positioned at the bumper to enhance visibility of the vehicle to other road-users.
• You still get seven seats in the Fortuner but the 2.7V variant comes with black woodgrain panels to enhance the Advanced and Pretige theme but at the same time still practical for an off-roading SUV.
• Optional accessories include a new DVD Audio-Video Navigation System for smartphone connectivity using WiFi to access the internet from the head unit’s built-in Internet Browser application.
• The navigation system has digital maps of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei along with the locations of all Toyota Sales and After-sales outlets.
• The system also comes with reverse camera with static guide lines, Rear Seat Entertainment System and integrated DVD player or just the monitor alone which can interface with the DVD-AVN system.
• Other optional accessories include a portable tyre pump that provides an easier way to re-inflate the tyres when needed.

As with any Toyota model, the Fortuner comes with a three years or 100,000km warranty. Two new colour options are now available for the Fortuner as well, Attitude Black and Grey Metallic, bringing the colour choices up to five. On-the-road prices are quoted below:
