Four crime suspects shot dead in Ipoh

Four suspected criminals were shot dead during an exchange at Jalan Ampang Baru here, last night.

The incident occurred at about 10.50pm near the Tambun police station involving a police team from the state police headquarters (IPK) Serious Crime Investigation Division.

Perak Police Chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said the suspects were believed to be involved in robbery activities around the state.

Following the incident, the police set up road blocks in both directions of the road, with the presence of forensic investigators at the scene.

It is learnt that a press conference will be held at the IPK at around 11 this morning.
