Four killed after car collided with an express bus

Four people were killed and two others badly injured after their car was involved in a head-on collision with an express bus at Km17 of Jalan Lipis-Merapoh near here early today, police said.

Lipis Police chief Supt Abdul Razak Hassan said the dead were Nur Hamira Baharum, 24, Hasnah Che Hussin, 66, Nik Eryna Nik Ahmad, one, and an Indonesian national identified as Yanti, in her 20s.

The driver of the car and another passenger, who had yet to be identified, were badly injured and had been admitted to the Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh, he said.

He said the driver of the bus and passengers were unhurt in the accident which happened at 12.30 am when the bus was going from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan and the car, a Honda City, was coming from Kelantan.
