Four motions which were debated and passed at the two-day Youth Parliament sitting II 2016 will be brought to the Cabinet meeting for further action.
Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said all the motions were not only relevant to current times but also for the future role of youths in the nation.
"The motions which were tabled, debated and passed are not only relevant to current times but also in the future as they were voiced by the youths who know what is best for their future.
"All the issues which were brought up will be given attention and will be tabled in the Cabinet," he told reporters at the end of the winding-up session of the Youth Parliament at Dewan Rakyat Wednesday.
He said the four motions were related to the Communication and Multimedia Commission Act (Section 233), specifically on the use of the social media, the motion to support the government's efforts in defending the country's sovereignty in the South China Sea, the motion to set up the Youth Parliament Institution under the Youth Act or the Main Act, and the motion for the government to improve existing laws and take drastic steps to curb paedophilia (sexual abuse of children under 13 years of age).
The Malaysian Youth Parliament sitting II 2016 held at the Dewan Rakyat was also attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Tuesday who spoke at the session.
In his speech, Najib said the government appreciated the role of the youths which was not rhetoric but translated into actual action.
He said among the objectives of the government in creating the Youth Parliament was to provide a platform to play their roles in the context of national leadership.
The sitting was attended by 115 people from 133 Malaysian Youth Parliamentary Members.
