The bodies was discovered during the ‘mopping up’ operation by the security forces that caused a security personal injured.
Chief of Malaysian Army, General Tan Sri Zulkifeli Md Zin said the bodies are believed to be the sympathiser of the Sulu terrorist and they were killed during the firefight earlier.

Security forces also found a boy who was injured inside the house and he was immediately airlifted to Hospital Sandakan for further medical treatment.
“Our man sustained injury on his right thigh and his condition is stable,” he said.
Recalling back the incident that happened at 9.15am, Zulkifeli said the security forces were conducting ‘mopping up’ operation in Kampung Tanjung Batu when they stumbled upon two terrorists roaming in that area.
“The firefight happened soon after that and the terrorists had to retreat. While pursuing them, we saw them went inside a house at the village,” said Zulkifeli.
As the security personnel approached the house, the terrorists fired at them injuring one of the army personnel.
Security personnel then retaliated by firing back at the terrorists which make one of them abandoned the house and escaped to another house nearby.
“Security forces then pursuing on him and there was a battle occurred soon after that which caused the house engulfed with fire,”
Security forces then went inside the house and discovered four bodies which believed have been killed during the firefight.
“Four of them including two children were found and at the same house also we found an injured male child. The injured child was immediately sent to the hospital,” he said.
Zulkifeli believed that the bodies were not local and they were believed to be the terrorist sympathiser.
