Four-year-old reported missing found drowned at Pulau Aman

South Seberang Perai District Police chief Supt Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad said the body of the child, Mohd Amir Khushairi, the son of a resident on the island, was found in the waters of Pulau Aman by fishermen at 11.45 am Saturday.
The body of a four-year-old boy who was reported missing since 10 am yesterday while playing at the Pulau Aman jetty, here, was found in the sea several kilometres away, today.
South Seberang Perai District Police chief Supt Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad said a report on the missing toddler was received yesterday.
He said a search and rescue was conducted around the village, including along the beach and the hill areas of Pulau Aman yesterday and resumed at 8 am this morning.
"The body of the child, Mohd Amir Khushairi, the son of a resident on the island, was found in the waters of Pulau Aman by fishermen at 11.45 am today," he told reporters here, today.
"Mohd Amir, was playing with his younger brother before he was reported missing," he said adding that the body was sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital for a post-mortem.
