Friday Fives: 2015 Geneva Motorshow Hothatch edition

Anticipation is high for these five hatchbacks that debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motorshow. Jerrica Leong counts them down.

The 2015 Geneva Motorshow came to a close two weeks ago and we’ve seen so many concept cars and a number of super cars as well, but what we’re anticipating the most is the hatchbacks. We see the return of one legendary hatchback and a new generation of another sporty hatchback to the introduction of a whole new model in the manufacturer’s line-up, we’re sure you’re all sitting at the edge of your seats hoping to get a glimpse of these hatches on the road like us!

Here are five of the most highly anticipated hatchbacks that debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motorshow.

Toyota Auris

Toyota has entirely revamped the Auris from the look to the engine line-up. The Auris looks to remain in a class of its own thanks to the hatchback’s unique set-up available for all to choose. Let’s hope that the Auris would make it to the roads of Malaysia, we are in serious need of a new hybrid hatchback!

Nissan Sway

Nissan looks to continue their success in creating unique cars. The manufacturer is looking to recreate the compact hatchback segment with their new hatchback, the Sway. Although it is said to be a concept, we highly expect that this car will make it to the roads to join successful models like the Qashqai and Juke.

It’s been five years since we’ve last seen a new Type R and now it’s back with the most extreme and high performing engine in the 22 year history of the red “H” badge.
