Friday Fives: the best team radio broadcast in the Formula 1 Malaysia Grand Prix

In conjunction with the 2015 Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix, Jerrica Leong has decided to compile the five most memorable team radio broadcast for you, just for laughs.

Since team radio started broadcasting on international television, we have heard a number of funny radio conversations between the drivers and their engineers. The most funny of which was when Rubens Barrichello, who was then driving an underperforming BAR Honda, was told that if he can catch his rival in front he would be in the points and Barrichello had replied his engineer “You wish.”

Of course we can’t forget the hilarious replies Kimi Raikkonen gave to his engineer in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix when he was in the lead. I’m sure I don’t have to illustrate it and you are already smiling away at that memory.

There seem to be more memorable team radio conversations than there was in the past five years, so here are the five most memorable convos between driver and engineer from the Malaysia GP.
