Friday Fives: Five rocking cars launched in 2015
With a blink of an eye, we’re already at the start of 2016! We’ve listed so many countdowns and listed a number of launches that we should look forward to during the course of the year but now we’re looking at the cars that we’ve most anticipated of 2015.
No.1
Honda HR-V
There is no question for this candidate, this car had a four-month waiting list even before Honda Malaysia even announced the price of the car! This was the first time Honda stepped into the crossover market which had the country in an uproar to own one.
No.2
Mazda CX-3
The second half year’s biggest launch, we’ve been waiting for our introduction with the CX-3 since June but Bermaz had delayed the launch all the way until December! How will 2015’s Car of the Year runner-up fair against its biggest competitor, the HR-V?
No.3
Mazda MX-5
It’s the rebirth of the Mazda MX-5! The phenomenon of a naturally aspirated and original roadster has swept the globe and true car enthusiasts have set the car on a shrine to worship, many in our country were probably did the same when the car was launched.
No.4
Volvo XC90
This was the surprise favourite in the list. I take it as the Volvo phenomenon as like any Volvo that would be launched in the country. But the XC90 holds a special card of its own, it’s not just a hybrid but plug-in as well? Now this is rare in our country.
No.5
Mazda 2
2014’s Car of the Year made its debut in 2015, and all eyes were on the 2 when the car was launched early this year. It had turned out to be just as good as we expected so the anticipation had been worth it!
