Friday Fives: Most notable cars of the 2016 Geneva Motor Show
The 2016 Geneva Motor Show is now in full swing, our editor was there for the opening and he brought back a few tasty morsels for our appreciation. If you’re heading to the Geneva Motor Show, or already there, you don’t want to miss out on these beautiful beasts. We doubt you could just walk pass it without seeing it.
So here’s to the most notable cars at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show!
No.1 Bugatti Chiron Bugatti took the opportunity to launch the brand new Chiron, the car that will replace their beloved Veyron as the fastest production car in the world. Check out those classic Bugatti lines! The Chiron still shares the signature Bugatti grilles but it’s got rounder edges then the car it replaces. Nice!
No.2 Maserati Levante Maserati has the stylish Ghibli, the beautiful Quattro Porte, and the sporty and aggressive looking GranTurismo, now the brand is adding another model into its 102 year history with their first ever SUV. The Maserati Levante! It looks like a Maserati but we’re trying very hard to stop our minds from wandering off and seeing a shark instead.
No.3 Lamborghini Centenario Everything just sounds nicer when in Italian, Centenario stands for centenary, created by the company to celebrate the centenary of founder Ferrucio Lamborghini’s birth. Only 40 of these will be sold worldwide both in coupe and roadster form.
No.4 McLaren 570GT The baby McLaren gets a GT-ed up! McLaren is claiming that the GT will offer more comfort and practicality while not compromising in giving you the ultimate sports car experience. When is this coming to Malaysia?
No.5 DS E-Tense As concept cars go, the E-Tense is probably the most interesting in the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. DS had created the E-Tense using technology gleaned from its Formula E program to create an all-electric drivetrain that will develop a power output of 402bhp and 515Nm of torque. Now DS just needs to improve on the looks. And that colour while they’re at it...
Notable mention: Vauxhall GT Concept How many of you would immediately associate this mini sports car with a seal the moment you lay eyes on it? Or a penguin? The GT Concept is Vauxhall’s idea on dominating the sports car market and it sure does look sleek!
