Looking at the uncertainties in the Gaza Strip, 1Malaysia Putera Club (KP1M) will send medical supplies to be stored at the Malaysian Embassy in Egypt temporarily before getting approval to enter the area.
The club's vice-president, Datuk Mohd Farid Hassan said the situation was getting worse and affecting the club's preparation to go to the area to distribute the supplies to the Gaza residents.
"The supplies will be sent very soon and will be kept first in Egypt before our mission gets the official date and approval to go there," he told reporters at the peaceful gathering "Save the Children of Gaza" here Saturday.
He said the club's advance team planned to go to Gaza on Aug 6 before the second team on Aug 12 but so far there was no final decision because of the uncertainties in Gaza.
It was reported that Israel had so far killed almost 2,000 Palestinians and injured about 9,000 people on the excuse of "self-defense" from attacks by the Hamas troops.
