GE15: Khairy up against six others in Sungai Buloh

SUNGAI BULOH: The Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat will see a seven-cornered contest in the 15th General Election (GE15).

The seven candidates are Khairy Jamaluddin (BN-UMNO), Datuk R. Ramanan (PH-PKR), Mohd Ghazali Md Hamin (PN-Pas), Mohd Akmal Mohd Yusoff (GTA-Pejuang), Ahmad Jufliz Faiza (PRM) and two independent candidates, Syed Abdul Razak Syed Long Alsagoff and Nurhaslinda Basri.

The announcement was made by the returning officer, Mohd Jusni Hashim at the Sungai Buloh nomination centre at the Petaling Land and District Office at 11 am.

Earlier, all the candidates arrived at the centre between 8.30 and 8.45 am with their supporters.

There was no commotion outside the nomination hall even though the opposing supporters were next to each other.

The good weather had also helped speed up the nomination process.
