GE15: Khairy defeated in Sungai Buloh

PUTRAJAYA: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Khairy Jamaluddin lost in the seven-cornered contest for the Sungai Buloh constituency in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Pakatan Harapan (PH) maintained its victory when its candidate, Datuk R. Ramanan won the seat with a majority of 2,693 votes
Ramanan polled 50,943 votes while Khairy obtained 48,250 votes.
Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate, Mohd Ghazali Md Hamin obtained 29,060 votes, Mohd Akmal Yusoff (GTA) 829 votes, Ahmad Jufliz Faiza (PRM) 279 votes, and two independent candidates, Syed Abdul Razak Syed Long Al Sagoff obtained 165 votes, and Nurhaslinda Basri 113 votes.
In the 14th General Election (GE14), the Sungai Buloh Parliamentary seat was held by R. Sivarasa from PKR with a majority of 26,634.
