KOTA BHARU: Deputy Minister in Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Ahmad Marzuk Shaary advised supporters of all parties contesting in the 15th general election (GE15) to respect the democratic process and not cause any provocations.
He said supporters should practise tolerance and cooperation between each other to ensure things are harmonious throughout the entire GE15.
"GE15 is the process for us to choose our leaders and we as supporters need not be enemies by deliberately causing provocation and chaos.
"Leaders will also preserve the harmony because after GE15 ends, we will be friends like usual," he said after an event with 2022 Kuala Lumpur Para Sukma gold medallists Norazlin Juarih and Faris Iqbal Ahmad near Pengkalan Chepa here today.
He was commenting on a viral video about a provocation between supporters of two political parties during a political talk in Sungai Dulang, Bagan Datuk last Sunday.
