KUALA LUMPUR: A viral message claiming the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has decreed Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be appointed as Malaysia’s new prime minister is fake.
The message that was circulating on social media depicted Astro AWANI’s GE15 polling feature undi.astroawani.com, urging people to vote for Anwar to be PM, at the request of the King.
Astro AWANI urges the public to stop circulating the fake message used by irresponsible parties to create misinformation.
undi.astroawani.com is an interactive polling feature launched on October 17 to gauge the public’s sentiments leading up to GE15 polling day on Saturday.
