General Election training for Perak police

Perak police will be holding a two-day ex-Ballot Practical Training on Feb 24 and 25, in preparation for the upcoming 13th General Election.

Perak police chief Datuk Mohd. Shukri Dahlan said the training session would involve all the district level contingents with the objective of familiarising them with the general election process.

"The training will also provide a guideline on their responsibility and knowledge of the law," he told reporters after attending a monthly gathering at the Perak police headquarters, here today.

Due to the training, the public would see more movements by the police in certain areas, he said.

Therefore, he advised people not to be worried if they saw more than the usual number of police personnel around as it was only a part of the training, he added.
