Get ready for the first ever Jaguar SVR
Manufacturers are already looking towards the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and planning an array of attention grabbing events! One such interesting event will be happening at the Jaguar Land Rover camp where the company just announced that they will be showcasing the first Jaguar to carry the SVR badge to the world.
The already sexy Jaguar F-Type will now join the ranks of Land Rovers that carry the SVR badges and Jaguar claims will exploit the two-seat aluminium sports car’s full potential yet at the same time retaining its day-to-day usability.
Jaguar claims the new F-Type SVR is capable of 320kph and is lighter, faster and more powerful than the standard F-Type variants. The SVR will take performance, dynamics and driver involvement to a new level but with the same comfort and duality of character inherent to all Jaguar cars.
“The new F-TYPE SVR is the first series production Jaguar to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design.” Says John Edwards, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations.
“The result is a 200mph, all-weather supercar that you can drive every day – we even made a Convertible version so that enthusiasts can revel in the sound from the new titanium exhaust system.”
Not much info about the car has been released yet though we expect more to slip through the seams of JLR’s gates come March 1st. The Jaguar F-Type SVR is expected to go on sale mid-2016, but meanwhile, Sisma Autos in Malaysia will be launching the award winning Jaguar XE here tomorrow.
