KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the public can get various services and offers on items provided by the ministries, government agencies and private companies at the "One Year With the MADANI Government" programme at the grounds of the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil from Dec 8-10.
Ahmad Jefry Aziz @ Adan, the executive director of the Project Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU) of the Prime Minister's Department (JPM), said some of the services aimed at dealing with poverty that will be available at the three-day programme include the offer of affordable homes, registration for eKasih assistance as well as the Mega MADANI Sale.
"The Mega MADANI Sale offers discounts of up to 70 per cent for various daily necessities through the Rahmah Sale, Agro MADANI Sale and MADANI Cooperatives Sale.
"A total of 183 MADANI entrepreneurs will also provide agriculture, handicraft, health and hospitality-based goods and services," he said as a guest on the 'Selamat Pagi Malaysia' programme aired on TV1 today.
He said the public could also get job opportunities provided by 70 government-linked and private companies and by participating in the career carnival organised by Khazanah Nasional Bhd, with the cooperation of the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) and Public Service Department, at the programme.
Ahmad Jefry said various health screenings would also be provided for free, including eyes, cancer and mammograms.
He said all the services and offers are part of the facilities provided with the organisation of the "One Year With the MADANI Government" programme, in addition to the Showcase of One-Year Achievements of the MADANI Government and the People's Well-being Initiative.
"I invite everyone to attend and see for themselves what are the achievements and the programmes that have been implemented by the government so far this year.
"This is also the best opportunity for the people to join the ministries and agencies in getting the best service from the government," he said.
Ahmad Jefry said that several ministers are also scheduled to present advocacy on the initiatives of their respective ministries, including Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek; Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz; Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli and Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.
The highlight of the programme is the closing ceremony by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Dec 10.
