Girl, 9, molested after abducted at bus station

Tanjung Malim district police chief Supt Othman Nanyan said prior to the incident, the victim and her 12-year-old sister, who were pupils of SRK Aminuddin Baki Slim River, were waiting at the bus station after school around 1.30pm.

A 57-year-old man had approached the victim and invited her to follow him into a grey Wira Aeroback car on the pretext of buying books, Othman said when contacted today.

"The victim's sister immediately telephoned their father after realising that she had gone off with the man," he said, adding, the 43-year-old father lodged a report at the Slim River police station.

Initial investigations revealed, the suspect drove the victim to a Chinese cemetery where he intimidated and molested her before fleeing the scene.

Incidentally, a woman was driving past the area when she saw the frightened victim running along the Slim Village old route and took her to the Slim River police station.

A medical examination on the victim at the Slim River Hospital found she had not been raped, Othman said.

He said based on information, police managed to nab the suspect who was with a woman and a boy, believed to be his wife and son at Taman Desa Idaman near Sungkai here.

"When he was intercepted, the suspect refused to stop his car and sped to the Slim River toll plaza towards Sungkai town where he hit a Proton Exora commercial vehicle.
