Kulim District Police Chief Supt Ghuzlan Salleh said in the incident which occurred at 8.30pm, the victim, 39, was having a drink with a friend when a man wearing a full helmet and armed with a pistol entered the restaurant and fired several shots at him.

"In the first incident, at 9am on Feb 20, a security guard died after he was attacked by a man armed with a pistol at the traffic light junction next to the Inokom car assembly plant at the Kulim-Baling Highway," he said.
Ghuzlan said the incident last night occurred about 10 kilometres from where the first case happened.
