Goldsmith shop loses RM300,000 in Jewellery to two robbers
One was fat, and the other, thin. Together, the robbers became richer with jewellery worth about RM300,000, in less than two minutes.
Earlier, the duo had struck at a goldsmith shop in Jalan Besar, Tanjong Malim south of here Wednesday, and escaped with the loot.
In the incident about 1pm, the robbers, one brandishing what appeared like a pistol, held up a 54-year-old worker at the shop.
Wearing full-faced helmets with tinted visor, they ordered the man to empty the loot into a sling bag before escaping in a motorcycle in the direction of Hulu Bernam.
Tanjung Malim police chief Supt Othman Nanyan said the shop neither had a security guard nor was fitted with a closed-circuit television camera.
