Golf R is 2015’s Driver’s Car of the Year

The ASEAN Car of the Year award happened recently in Kuala Lumpur and Volkswagen had been nominated for a few categories including the Driver’s Car of the Year award where the Golf R triumphed over all.

Judging is based on five key criteria: price, safety, performance, and quality and ownership experience. The Golf R is the ultimate machine that Volkswagen has ever produced. It embodies everything the GTi does well and amplify them to give the driver the best possible drive. The Golf R had garnered numerous praises around the world so it’s not a surprise that the R has nabbed the Driver’s Car of the Year award.

This is the first time ASEAN has held the Car of the Year award, it is formed as a programme exclusively the reward outstanding vehicles in the ASEAN region honoured by motoring journalists from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia as well as industry experts from all over the ASEAN region.
