Google unveils Malaysia Day doodle designed by 16-year-old student

Google unveiled its Malaysia Day doodle designed by a 16-year-old student on its google.com.my home page today in conjunction with the country’s 51st Malaysia Day celebration.
Titled ‘Beauty of Malaysia’, it was designed by Lee Yee Run of SMJK (C) Yoke Kuan in Sekinchan, Selangor.
"Many of us may have been caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, missing out the beauty of our country.
"Let's step out of the box, travel to attractive spots, discover and embrace the true and unique colours of Malaysia. Malaysia to me/you is surely a beautiful place to stay,” she said on Google Malaysia’s website.
Doodles are spontaneous changes made to the Google logo created to celebrate holidays, anniversaries and the lives of famous artists, pioneers and scientists who have helped shape history.
Malaysia’s first-ever Doodle 4 Google competition was launched in April this year, open to all Malaysian primary and secondary school students with the opportunity to designed Google’s doodle for Malaysia Day.
Previous Malaysia-centric doodle included the 2013 General Elections, Yasmin Ahmad’s 56th birthday and most recently, the 57th Merdeka Day.
