Govt denies use of physical vaccination cards

KUALA LUMPUR: The following is a denial of a viral news item on social media by related agencies, issued through the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) Quick Response Team.
The government has denied the use of printed physical cards for individuals who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination as being sold in the market and went viral on social media.
The government clarified that the cards sold were not recognised or accepted as proof of completing the vaccination, and was waiting for Cabinet approval to issue the MY COVID-19 Vaccination Badge.
So far, only the digital certificates on the MySejahtera application and vaccination cards received by individuals at the vaccination centres can be used.
The public is advised to refer to the website and social media of the Health Ministry and the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) to obtain the latest and authentic information.
