- PM Anwar says it's too early to comment on Nick Adams' nomination as US ambassador to Malaysia.
- The appointment will be reviewed through proper channels while weighing Malaysia-US relations.
- Adams' nomination by Trump is still pending confirmation by the US Senate.
Anwar added that the consideration would also take into account the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
"The government will of course give it due consideration while also maintaining the good relations between Malaysia and the US," he told reporters after performing Friday prayers at Surau Istiqlal here today.
International media previously reported that US President Donald Trump had nominated Adams -- an Australian-born conservative political commentator who is now a US citizen -- as the US Ambassador to Malaysia.
The US Senate has yet to confirm Adams' appointment.
