Graphic designer killed in car crash

A graphic designer was killed when the car he was travelling in rammed into the rear of a lorry at KM294.1 of the northbound North-South Expressway, near Gopeng, here Saturday.
In the 12.45am incident, Nabil Affandi Johar, 27, from Batu Caves, Selangor sustained severe injuries and died at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital while his friend, Muhammad Husaini Ahmad Mazlan, 28, who is an Immigration officer in Kuala Lumpur suffered minor injuries.
Kampar police chief, Supt Ng Kong Soon said the Perodua Myvi which was on its way to Penang was believed to have skidded before hitting the rear of the lorry that was transporting fertilizer.
"Police have not ruled out the possibility that the car driven by Muhammad Husaini lost control due to the darkness and wet road condition," he told reporters, adding that lorry driver was unhurt.
