GST registration rises to 112,610 as of Oct 29
The government's target is to get 140,000 companies to register under the new tax structure to be implemented on April 1, 2015.
The number of companies that have registered for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) stood at 112,610 as of Oct 29, an increase of 2,488 from the previous day, said the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
In a statement, the department said the latest data showed a continuing increase in the number of companies registering for the GST, with the Dec 31 deadline in mind.
The government's target is to get 140,000 companies to register under the new tax structure to be implemented on April 1, 2015.
