GST: Ticket prices at City Stadium to cost more on April 1 - FAP

Ticket prices for football matches at the City Stadium here will increase with the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax on April 1.

Penang Football Association (FAP) vice president Mohd Azizudin Mohd Shariff said grand stand tickets for adults will cost RM22 compared with RM20 in the past while tickets for children will cost RM11 instead of RM10.

"For normal terrace, tickets for adults will cost RM11 instead of RM10 while prices for children will be increased from RM5 to RM6," he said when contacted, here today.

Mohd Azizudin who is also the Penang team manager said the new prices would start during the Premier League match between Penang and JDT II on Friday (April 3).

"The increase in ticket prices could not be avoided although the FAP will only gain between 24 sen to 54 sen per ticket," he said.
