Gua Musang Hospital should have specialist doctors, Gua Musang Member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said.
He said this was because of its location, with the nearest hospital, the Kuala Krai Hospital, which has specialist doctors, located about 120 kilometres away.
"This situation results in critical patients in Gua Musang facing the risk of dying as there is no specialist doctor at the Gua Musang Hospital," he told reporters after meeting staff of the Gua Musang Hospital here Saturday.
Also present were Kelantan Health director Datuk Dr Ahmad Razin Ahmad Mahir, Galas Assemblyman Ab Aziz Yusof and Gua Musang Hospital director Dr Mohd Faisal Zainal Abidin. -- Bernama
