Gucci Cruise Makes Its Debut

Gucci held its first Cruise show under the creative vision of Alessandro Michele in New York City. The private event was hosted on Thursday night at the Bowery Bar & Grill which irrefutably attracted a lot of celebrities and good-looking people i.e. Dakota Johnson, Sam Taylor Johnson and Gia Coppola. Ultimately the merrymaking wasn’t so much in celebration of the Cruise debut of Gucci as it was a coronation of the gentleman now supervising Gucci’s creative vision, Alessandro Michele.

In the last few years, European brands are showcasing their Cruise collections by playing an intercontinental game of one-upping each other in terms of glamorous locations or exotic venues. Gucci took the unfussy route by showing the first Gucci Cruise in New York with a dinner party that was equally simple and understated.

The show was held at the Dia Art Foundation, a non-profit organization that initiates, supports, presents, and preserves art projects. Gucci worked in partnership with photographer Coco Capitan to capture the city and its streets.

Aaron Taylor Johnson wore a Gucci Men’s tan suede jacket with brown tortoise shell sunglasses. Gia Coppola wore Gucci Mens Fall/Winter 2015-2016 taupe satin blouse with black grosgrain ribbon bow, rust 70's twill stretch loose tailored pant, Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Dionysus shoulder bag in beige GG supreme leather featuring geranium detail and rose suede sides and black leather loafers with horsebit detail.
