A gunman fired several shots Tuesday night, shattering the glass door of a property development company office in Taman Bunga Raya, Mantin near here.

Shots were also fired at a wall of the office, said state CID chief ACP Hamdan Majid.

He said the company staff found the glass door shattered and the wall riddled with holes when they turned up for work at 9am Wednesday.

"All in all, eight shots were fired," he added.

Prior to this, a company which was developing a piece of land in Kampung Hakka, Mantin was involved in controversy when several residents refused to move out, in protest against the acquisition of the land in the area.
