Hajj pilgrims asked not to hide diseases
22,320 haj pilgrims this year were expected to face hot weather up to 50 degrees celsius which could possibly lead to a heat stroke.
Hajj pilgrims are urged to be sincere and not hide their diseases from the Tabung Haji (TH) management before departing for the Holy Land.
A member of the TH board, Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dr Abdul Shukor Husin said the question of health could not be taken lightly because performing the fifth tennet of Islam called for physical, mental and spiritual strength.
Furthermore, 22,320 haj pilgrims this year were expected to face hot weather up to 50 degrees celsius which could possibly lead to a heat stroke, he said.
"Whatever sicknesses even if it is fever, please be sincere with us. There are pilgrims who like to delay in informing (about their ailments) as they fear that their opportunity to perform the religious rituals will be affected if the TH comes to know about it," he said.
