A handicapped man claimed today that he was robbed by a fast-food delivery man who went to his house in Bandar Tasik Selatan, on Tuesday.

Mohd Fadzli Fadhillah, 37, who suffers from the amyotrophy lateral sclerosis and is wheelchair-bound, said he was robbed by the man at about 11am when he was alone in his flat here.

"I recognise the man...he was wearing the uniform of a fast-food chain, he had been to my house to deliver food I ordered before.

"Three days after that, on the day of the incident, the man came again to my house, to deliver food I had supposedly ordered, but I had not ordered anything," he told Bernama here.

Fadzli, who is an ex-Bernama journalist, said the man rushed into his home and took the RM100 he had placed on a table.

He believed the man could have planned to rob him after observing the house and his condition during the first visit when he sent the food order.

Fadzli made the police report over the incident and urged the fast-food chain to take action against the employee.

He said the incident on Tuesday was the second time he was robbed in a week after several valuables were stolen on June 11 by a man who pretended he was offering house-cleaning services.

"In the first incident, the man ran off with my watch which was worth thousands of ringgit, RM800 in cash and a branded handphone charger, when he entered my house supposedly to clean it.

"I am traumatised over these incidents...they are exploiting my condition...my movements are limited. I also regret society's attitude which does not seem concerned about people like me," he said.
