Harakah to retract statement against EC

Pas’ official media Harakah will retract its statement regarding party deputy president Mohamad Sabu’s accusation towards the Election Commission (EC).

Mohamad or better known as Mat Sabu regarded the issue as 'settled' when contacted by Astro Awani.

He, however did not mention when Harakah plans to do so.

Mohamad could be facing a defamation suit for his recent statement over the ‘Project IC’ issue in Sabah.

EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said Thursday that the allegations made by Mohamad published in Pas' Harakah had defamed him.

He was referring to the article, “Ragu peranan SPR, Wan Ahmad Omar mesti letak jawatan (Doubts on EC’s role, Wan Ahmad Omar must resign)”.
