Haze situation improves nationwide
The public can refer to the DOE portal at apims.doe.gov.my for the latest API reading.
The haze situation in the country is improving with only 38 areas, including Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, recording moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) as at 9am today.
According to the Department of Environment's (DOE) portal, the API for Shah Alam was 77, while Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, both at 60.
Other areas with moderate reading included Nilai (61), Port Klang (86) and Seri Manjung, Perak (70).
An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy and above 300, hazardous.
The public can refer to the DOE portal at apims.doe.gov.my for the latest API reading.
