Health Ministry confirms AEON Mall's grocery section closed due to rat

The Health Ministry (KKM) has confirmed that the grocery section of AEON One Utama Mall in Petaling Jaya has been ordered close due to the presence of a huge rat on one of its shelves.
Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the section of the mall was ordered close for 14 days from March 31 under Section 11 of the Food Act 1983.
"The mall can resume its operation earlier if the return hygiene inspection found that the cleanliness of the premises is at a satisfactory level," he said in a statement today.
News of the closure of the grocery section of the mall went viral on the social media a few days ago after a video was uploaded showing a huge rat on the top shelve of the beverage aisle.
