Healthy collaboration to help Perak UMNO defend traditional seats in GE15

LENGGONG: Perak UMNO will defend its traditional seats in the 15th General Election (GE15) and hopes to form a stable state government in collaboration with other parties such as PAS, said Perak UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Saarani Mohamad.

Saarani said a healthy and mature alliance was crucial in obtaining support and trust from the people, adding that UMNO welcomed those who wish to collaborate in GE15.

"To win together, there should be sincerity, not killing each other or fighting. Do not set up new branches and steal UMNO members. I know what is going on in some areas.

"Those who wish to collaborate, do not steal members and do not contest in UMNO's traditional seats. Do not tear down and destroy what we have already built. This is a clear message from UMNO Perak," said the Perak Menteri Besar after launching the COVID-19 sanitation programme at the Al-Nur Lawin Mosque, 60 km from Ipoh town.

Also present was the Energy and Natural Resources Minister, who is also Lenggong member of parliament, Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
