Helicopter investigation team collects an engine, small components

The Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) team which is investigating into the helicopter tragedy here last Saturday has found one of the two engines and several small components of the helicopter on Monday, day three of the operations.
Transport Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Dr Ismail Bakar was with the team at the crash site Monday afternoon.
"Another component of the helicopter engine will be taken out tomorrow (Tuesday) with several other parts," said an AAIB spokesman to Bernama after the operations on Monday.
Earlier, the Bukit Aman forensic team comprising 11 members led by Supt Soo Me Thong brought out five white plastic bags from the crash site in Kampung Sungai Pening Monday evening.
Soo said his team had been at the location since 2.30 pm.
"We found several personal items of the victims near the helicopter engine," he said, adding that these included men's and women's clothes, a bag and a Lenovo handphone belonging to one of the victims," he said.
