The high tide at Kuala Sepetang is not at alarming level although the situation is expected to be worse than yesterday.
Taiping Senior Fire Supt II, Rohami Basirun said based on their observation, the water had risen to four inches above the road level.
"We patrolled the area and checked the situation since 6am and found that it is still under control.
"The situation this morning is better than yesterday when some students had to use a fire truck to get to school. This is due to the absence of rain," he told reporters, here today.
This was a relief for parents sending their children to Sekolah Kebangsaan Laksamana as they could send them off as usual.
Meanwhile, Year Six student, Mohd Khairil Affendi Azhar was grateful that he was able to take his Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination result today.
