The Fire and Rescue Department is seeking to reconnect a woman they rescued as a baby during the Highland Towers tragedy in December 1993.
According to local media reports, Nur Hamidah, 23 is a caregiver attached with the Indonesian National Nurses Association and residing in Jakarta.
It all started after Hamidah shared a picture on Facebook of herself as a toddler who survived the tragedy.
The photo shows Hamidah on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on, right after she was rescued from the rubble by a firefighter.
The photo was then shared by the Fire and Rescue Department on their Facebook page. The department had since identified the firefighter as Norizan Saad.
According to them, a senior firefighter officer, Taufiq, had contacted Hamidah's father, however, the attempts to contact Norizan and Hamidah were still unsuccessful.
“Hopefully, the rescuer and the survivor will meet again," they wrote.
They added that Norizan now serves in a corporate communications department.

Alhamdulillah..... Nur Hamidah seperti didalam gambar yg Tn Norizan Saad selamatkan semasa runtuhan Highland Tower tu...
