An elderly woman was found dead in her home at Batu 17, Kampung Jeram near Kampar here today.
Kampar district police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon said the body of Mariatulkibtiyah Abdul Rahman, 85, was found at about 10.35am after neighbour detected a stench emanating from the victim's house.
Police ruled out any foul play in the case, he told Bernama when contacted today.
He said police had classified the case as sudden death and did not rule out the possibility that the victim, who stayed in the house alone, died about a week ago.
The body was sent to the Kampar Hospital for post-mortem, he said.
