Homestay aids Ops Daulat humanitarian workers
Realising the opportunities and potential of the tourism industry through the Homestay programme, a couple of Felda settlers have initiated the culture-learning facility here.
One of them is Asmah Abdul Hasan, who turned her residence into a homestay facility.
Asmah has been opening the doors of her homestay facility to humanitarian workers and the occasional media personnel since Ops Daulat.
“Usually, this house can fit six people but during Ops Daulat, we fit in twelve people as even the living room was used as a sleeping spot.
“If people come here for work purposes, I usually just admit them in,” she said.
Asmah said she would like to help out as much as she can to aid people who had to work through the war.
Apart from Asmah’s residence, Felda Sahabat, where the Ops Daulat operation area lies, has 11 other homestay facilities.
