Hospitals in Perak currently have zero COVID-19 patient - Ahmad Faizal

Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu says no more COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals across the state.

According to Ahmad Faizal, he was informed of the matter by Perak Health Director Datuk Dr Ding Lay Ming today.

"Perak state hospitals have zero (zero) COVID-19 patients, thank God," he told reporters at a handover of COVID-19 donations to the state government at his office here today.

However, he reminded the people that the Movement Control Order (MCO) was not yet over.

“The MCO is still in force. The government has announced two persons from the same family are allowed to come out in one car but for valid reasons such as to buy necessities.

“Social distancing must be practised and always clean hands. I think it's a new culture that we have to practice forever," he said.

For the record, Perak recorded a total of 252 cases of COVID-19 positive infections and six of them died.

It is understood that the last patient, a man, was discharged from Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun yesterday.
