The woman was kidnapped from her home and taken to Batam, Indonesia at about 3.30pm on Feb 21.
Police solved the kidnapping case of a housewife with the arrest on 18 people, said Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
Out of the 18, six were Indonesians, he added.
He said the woman was kidnapped from her home and taken to Batam, Indonesia at about 3.30pm on Feb 21.
Working closely with the family as well as Indonesian and Singaporean police, the victim was found to have been held at a farm house, yesterday.
"What was most important is that no publicity was given in this case and after 27 days, we managed to locate and arrest the 12 people. Six people were arrested in Batam," he said at a press conference today.
The victim who was safely found, was then brought back to Johor Bahru yesterday evening and handed over to her family.
All the 12 suspects arrested in Johor Bahru have been held on remand for seven days beginning today.
He said police are also in talks with lawyers to extradite the six Indonesian suspects.
Khalid also said that police are investigating whether a domestic helper was involved in the case.
