Housing developer charged with not maintaining sewerage system on apartment in Ampang

A housing developer was charged in the Ampang Magistrate's Court here today for failing to maintain the private sewerage system of an apartment in Ampang three years ago.
Persepektif Masa Sdn Bhd, represented by one of its managers, Muhammad Zaki Md Sah, pleaded not guilty to the charge after it was read out before Magistrate Mohamad Izwan Mohamed Noh.
The company was charged with failing to maintain and upkeep the private sewerage system of the Pangsapuri Berembang Indah so as not to allow it to be a nuisance or harmful to health.
The offence was allegedly committed at the apartment at Jalan Nipah, Off Jalan Ampang Berembang Indah here on May 10, 2013.
The charge, under Section 65 (1)(b) of the Water Services Industry Act 2006, provides a maximum fine of RM50,000, if found guilty.

The prosecution was conducted by prosecuting officer from the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) Azjamaatuliza Farrah Ain Jamludin.
