PDF or also known as Portable Document Format is a file that can be used for sharing information reliability about the formatting, styling and more.

The challenge lies in the users when they wish to insert a PDF file on to a Digital platform without automatically downloading on client's browser.

Below is a step by step guide on how to embed your PDF file.
  1. Login to your Gmail first at https://mail.google.com/
  2. Then go to Google Drive at https://drive.google.com/
  3. Click + New then click File Upload
  4. Select your PDF file and click Open button
  5. In your Google Drive file list, right click on your newly uploaded file
  6. Click Share
  7. You can see a text that reads: “Restricted. Only people added can open with this link” and “Change to anyone with the link
  8. Click at “Change to anyone with the link” - to change the sharing permission, then click Done
  9. Double click your uploaded file to preview the PDF in Google Drive
  10. Go to top right, click at an ellipsis (three vertical dots) then click Open in new window
  11. You can see your PDF open up on new tab/window
  12. Look at Right Top, click at an ellipsis (three vertical dots) , and click Embed item…
  13. Copy the code inside the text area and paste into your website.
