HSNZ doctor found dead in rented room

A doctor who is attached to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) was found dead in his rented room in Kampung Nyiur Sepohon here last night.
Dr Mohd Muaz Mohd Sabri was believed to have died a couple of days ago due to food poisoining after consuming the allegedly contaminated food which he and his fiancee bought at the Kuala Ibai night market.
His fiancee, who is also a doctor at HSNZ, is currently warded at the hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Terengganu Health director Dr Mohammad Omar said they were still waiting for the police to complete the investigation on the case.
"So far, the post mortem found no foul play in the case.
"However, several samples have been taken and are being examined according to the normal procedures to ascertain the actual cause of death," he said.
Kuala Terengganu Police deputy chief Supt Suffian Sulaiman, when contacted, confirmed receiving the report on the case.
The doctor had been attached to the HSNZ since December 2013.
