Hudud: Police investigate death threat against presenter and BFM radio station - IGP

Police will investigate business radio station BFM (89.9FM) and individuals who threatened its presenter, Aisyah Tajuddin.
Tan Sri Abu Khalid Abu Bakar in a tweet post stated that the scriptwriter who questioned the amendments to the Syariah Criminal Code II 1993 (Amendment 2015) passed by the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly also will be investigated.
“The BFM case, @PDRMsia will investigate both sides, both BFM (the broadcaster) and the individual who threatened the presenter. The script writer will also be investigated,” he wrote.
On March 19, the two-minutes video entitled ‘Hudud Isi Periuk Nasi’ was uploaded on BFM The script given to Aisyah questioned the PAS-led Kelantan Assembly for its decision to pass the Syariah Criminal Code II (1993).
Aisyah received death and rape threats from unknown individuals after the short clip went viral on the social media.
On Friday, BFM issued a statement to apologise and the video was pulled down.
On Saturday, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang questioned Khalid’s silence over the matter and appeared to be selective over his tweet posts. Kit Siang issued a statement following Khalid's inadvertent delayed action following the threats against Aisyah which had gone virall on the social media.
