A total of 2,199 MCA national delegates turned up for the party's extraordinary general meeting (EGM) at Wisma MCA, here, today.
The number accounted for 92 per cent of the party's 2,385 delegates nationwide, Speaker Datuk Yip Phooi Hong said.
The EGM was held to censure deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai for his refusal to accept a collective party decision and his failure in his duty as the party's chairman of the 13th General Election (GE13) preparation committee to carry out all necessary preparations.
The other three resolutions are to overturn the party's resolution passed in the 2011 and 2012 annual general assemblies not to accept any government post at the federal and state levels and any post in government-linked companies if the MCA did badly in the GE13.
Voting began at about 10.30am and expected to end at noon.
